One of the hardest problems of married couples is a cheating partner. Many people consider any breach of the rules mutually agreed upon or any violations of relationship boundaries as cheating. The act is even considered a crime in some countries and is punishable by death. Since both the man and the woman expect a faithful relationship with each other upon committing to marriage, infidelity poses a threat that can ruin it and can leave destructive consequences to both spouses. - Inexplicable Volatility. As the time of infidelity lengthens, the guilty partner suddenly transforms from being warm-hearted to being irritable. Unresolved guilt increase in magnitude and the spouse will tend to vent frustrations to the partner and the children, being emotionally volatile. Is the spouse being critical and short-tempered?
- Family Aloofness. As cheating takes its toll, the guilty partner becomes more distant from the family, refraining from family activities and doing house chores (i.e. cutting grass, cleaning the house, etc.), and eventually picking fights with them. Is the spouse being cold and distant?
- Unusual Excessiveness. The offending partner tends to use money extravagantly, even wastefully, spending money on the third party. As time pass, the number of bank withdrawals, credit card charges and receipts made by the cheating spouse will build up and become noticeable. Is the partner being wasteful financially?
- Sudden Self-consciousness. The offending partner will suddenly change in appearance and will start buying new and stylish clothes and stuffs. They also tend to be conscious of having good physique and will start going to the gym and do various exercises. Is the spouse suddenly worried of looks?
- Irregular Phone Calls. This sign is the most popular of them all. The offending partner will make unusual calls. These conversations are usually whispered and done in secret form the partner. It usually happens in the middle of the night. Is the spouse conversing with someone unusual?
These are only a few signs of a cheating partner. In any case, one should learn to keep tabs on the suspected spouse, either by keeping a record of movements or by hiring an investigator. Still, the best way to confirm one’s suspicions is direct conversation with the offending spouse.
