People believe that it is easier to accept that a husband was caught cheating on his wife, rather than a woman caught to be cheating on her husband. There is a saying that men are polygamous by nature. But then again, one cannot deny that women, especially nowadays, tend to be polygamous as well.  According to a study, marital infidelity happens to women when they experience mid-life crisis after a few years of being in a relationship. It may be that there are expectations after getting married which were not fulfilled so she tries to find a solution for these.
